Sony Migration Tools
July 2005
Contents
This document contains information on the following topics:
The Sony Migration Tools are used to migrate your user information, rendering templates, and licenses from existing Sonic Foundry applications to Sony Media Software applications.
- If you are logged on as an administrator when the migration tools are used and then log on as a regular user, rendering templates will not be transferred for every user account. Licenses and user information will be transferred correctly.
The Migration Tools are automatically installed when you install a Sony Pictures Digital application.
The tools are run when you install a Sony Pictures Digital application, and your user information, rendering templates, and software licenses are updated automatically.
Because file-rendering templates are stored in each user's application data area, you'll need to run the Migrate Sonic Foundry Templates to Sony utility if you install a Sony Pictures Digital application from a different user account than the account you use to run the application.
